02. Colombo to Jaffna
Colombo to Jaffna railway track is the longest railway track in Sri Lanka with 397.8 km distance between the destinations. The train track recently commuted to broad gauge and thus has minimum traffic, but is worth every moment for the fascinating wildlife and natural landscapes you can see along the way. This railway track goes through forests, rivers, tanks, villages, paddy fields, mountains, etc., making it one of the most beautiful railway tracks in Sri Lanka.
nicely written and some amazing pictures. might i add that the Colombo to kandy journey too is one memorable train ride specially the kadugannawa pass.
