03. Galle Fort
Galle Fort was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese and modified by the Dutch. It is one of the UNESCO sites in Sri Lanka. During the colonial periods, it was a popular place for trading as many foreign traders like Arabs, Greeks, and Chinese used to come here and trade goods. There are many marvelous designs and carving of the fort will surely impress you, making it one of the never-miss forts in Sri Lanka.
